| I really liked this film, I was thinking it was going to be an off-beat comedy, without any real content. Surprisingly it is not just a comedy that actually had a plot and a significant ark. I think that's what really separates them from Napoleon Dynamite, which also explores outsiders. In this Eagle vs Shark Comedy film the characters grow and recognize things about themselves. The humor is still there and the actors do a great job with his characters. There are also some very good cinematography and animation in the DivX Movie Eagle vs Shark which was an unexpected bonus. The landscape is really amazing that I want to go to New Zealand! I would recommend this movie. It was fun for me and I liked the accent! |
| Greetings again from the darkness. While comparisons to "Napoleon Dynamite" are inevitable, writer / director Taika Cohen / Waititi actually offers much deeper than the cult classic Idaho. The involvement of multiple story lines of family relations in a more self-esteem and self-discovery. Of course, it also may be one of the quirkiest films of all time. Of the two drivers, Jemaine Clement as Jarrod and Loren Horsley as Lily, Clemente's role is very appealing, but Ms. Horsley steals every scene. She is a delight and a curiosity on the screen. His crooked smile and expressive eyes are exquisitely charming and as a spectator, who immediately embraced his desire to be loved. Most of the role of Mr. Clement is preparing for his great revenge fight against the school bully. As with most things in life that does not handle very well now, but eventually become awakening. The relationship issues are complex and realistic treatment, as very little is actually said between individuals. Body language speaks louder than words. Do not miss the director Jerrod in flashbacks as the "perfect" brother Gordon. |
