There are movies that are great. Oozes greatness of every pore. There are movies that are appalling. Its stench pollutes the whole house. Then there are movies that are so bad, so unspeakably cheesy, but do it with such style that cross the invisible line and some really great. Falcon Slayer is one of them. Hackneyed dialogue? Check. Hammy acting? Check. Stereotypical plot? Check. But among them is a real talent that has made a lasting Hawk films of the genre. You can not help but groan at corny lines in laughter dodgy jokes, and - yes - maybe even a little tear in the bleak fate of the last elf in this world. Slayer falcon is not the Lord of the Rings. But best of all known, and never tried to be. It is a great trip, great entertainment and a DivX Movie Hawk the Slayer that you will return more than once. Get some friends in. Make it a night. It's worth the effort. WATCH OUT FOR: Jack Palance, the king of B movies, in fine, ham-actor as the villain way. John Terry, last seen as the father of Jack on Lost, as the hero. Bernard Bresslaw, star of many films such as Carry On, but the nice dim giant.
This is one of those rare films from the early 80's that I love. They are terrible, and yet something is great! It has the feel of a Saturday "matinee" and is certainly an entertaining piece of work (although far from a masterpiece). Basically, this DivX Movie Hawk the Slayer is a guilty pleasure. If I had to choose between him and "The Beastmaster," which will undoubtedly take the Hawk Slayer. I recommend this Hawk the Slayer film as a must see! Although I am not blind and can see all the faults, I love this DVD movie Hawk the Slayer yet. Even the samples sound bites from this Hawk the Slayer Adventure and has created a dance mix! (Not for commercial purposes, just for fun ...). If interested, please message boards as I posted a link to the audio file there.
For a fantasy DVD film Hawk the Slayer that really tried to capture the feeling of a great book. One that is lost because of the characters, except that you do not get information about any person, except the title and character of his brother. I felt a little funny and charming, despite the serious impression that was given to the audience. When I lose my self in a book but does not have a plug in his hand this tape in. I also liked the weird music, which tried to sound like a blend of Irish and Welsh folk songs. Overall I liked this movie, despite its shortcomings.
As you watch this film, which will more than likely sit down and say: "This is so stupid." Remember that this is a DivX Movie Hawk the Slayer of 80. I remember first seeing this DivX Movie Hawk the Slayer as a teenager and saying it was so cool. Well many moons later, I see the aweful special effects, and the obvious errors. The interesting things about the letter "B" movies is that if players know they are in one, but it comes through their actions. With this film, trying to act as seriously as possible, which makes it more credible. For people with a low budget, they did pretty well. The result is still the coolest music ever. Sets the tone of the film, and covers Hawk's mysterious nature. As a movie, it's aweful. As a "B", the film, which makes pretty good. Cult classic.
