| People are too hard on this film. The acting is better than average and the action is impressive. This alone offset the weakness of the plot and so special effects. I saw this movie: Wing Commander for the first time on DVD, sat down with low expectations, and I cranked Dolby Digital 5.1 sound system. I was never blown away! It is more than expected and the characters were not as "forgettable," as some critics said. I found the results of Tcheky Kanye (champion) and David Warner (Admiral Tolwyn) were memorable. Saffron Burrows (Angel) was great, except that it handles its "crisis" at the end, not bad. But overall the DVD movie Wing Commander was a pleasure. | I do not see how this is a bad grade. After all, advertising is not like Star Wars and Star Trek. Special effects, a need for science fiction fans are great.
