| The cookie cutter script itself has become so cliché that you would think that most studies be avoided. But unfortunately, that is supposed to sell tickets. Studies assume the general public is absurd, so movies like this get done. The female lead is in a very important position of authority is super hot and could be a model if she wanted, of course, unlike real life. There is miscast bottom awfully forced to say lines that are not funny, nor original, of course, Nic Cage, who is here only for a paycheck. Studies of great name, just pull the big-budget plan, change the names and locations and fill small details here and there are "new" film. This National Treasure movie was so amazingly amazing (so many things that appear adequately or allowed to happen), and poorly written (in some way our ancestors were able to create images on the back of the Constitution with the material that was probably only available in the past 20 years), I am saddened that made money. Maybe the general public is not bright ... |
| In the summer of 2003, Walt Disney launched last Turd. It's called Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the BLACK PEARL. One of the men responsible for Turd was prolific producer Jerry Bruckheimer (the man who is also responsible for producing such dreck as Coyote Ugly and Bad Boys II, and because for some unknown reason "Pirates" was a big success (only God knows why), Disney released Bruckheimer stop another disaster National Treasure Action movie in the movie-going public. This is called a disaster DivX Movie National Treasure National Treasure. Like gone in sixty seconds, Nicolas Cage's previous collaboration with Jerry Bruckheimer, the basis for the national treasury is 100% absurd. Unlike with adventure movies such as SAHARA, the absurdity of the premise here is not even funny, just stupid .... even by the standards of Bruckheimer. Obviously the filmmakers were not believablity to this, but even so, the concept of national treasure is beyond ridiculous. Moreover, nobody sees a Bruckheimer National Treasure Action film plot. To go and see things and seeks to exploit. In both NATIONAL TREASURE delivery. Problem is that there is nothing else. |
| NATIONAL TREASURE (3 out of 5 stars) After hearing some of the initial reviews I was expecting something of a train wreck here. In fact, the film: National Treasure is not bad at all ... cheese in a Saturday afternoon killing time way. Some of the actions of the characters strain credibility at times ... but if you just sit back and let the plot play is all very entertaining. A couple of eccentric treasure hunt to collect an ally of women along the way in his attempt to beat bad a rich man to find the greatest treasure the cache of all time. Nicolas Cage gives a performance without effort involving lead. Their male and female sidekicks (Diane Kruger and Justin Bartha) play very well off. The main villain (Sean Bean) is a little more bad key which tend to see in the movies these days ... not go on and on ranting and raving and screaming to show how serious it is ... shows that only very concerned by the naturalness of their actions. Jon Voigt and Harvey Keitel do well in a couple of features that not long ago for its credibility, but probably acting gave a boost their bank accounts. Not even me until the end that this was indeed a Disney MOVIE ... a lot like the adventure of the films that were put in 50 years. I was also pleasantly surprised that there are fewer dumb action stunts than I expected. The two major double in scenes of the National Treasure Action (a chase and a ladder in the cave) were inspired by a beautiful ... the National Treasure Action film wisely focuses more on plot and dialogue. |
