| This film: Lakeview Terrace is what it is. Those who expect the Lakeview Terrace Thriller to explore racism to death aspect is watching the wrong gender. The plot is easy to see and Samuel LJ played a large part as a physco with a chip on his shoulder .... a welcome change from some of the bulls he has done in the past with phrases, advertisements and any paycheck can grab. I liked the movie. He has a thing against the race relations between coz his wife was being unfaithful to him with a white boy. There is no need to distribute the Lakeview Terrace film because it offers no analysis of the situation. It covers as much as is warranted given that this is a character that is not balanced, the better! |
| Greetings again from the darkness. If the director Neil LaBute's latest DivX film Lakeview Terrace was not reason enough to boycott this film, the trailer was indeed ridiculous, right? Well, not when one is addicted to movies and "ghost town" is the other opening weekend. In addition, LaBute has "Company of Men" on his resume, however, is only the denial by "Nurse Betty." But come on, Samuel L Jackson as a rage, prejudice, police screw loose? You have to have some good times, huh? Of course, the first 30-45 minutes of the Lakeview Terrace movie to deliver the level of uncomfortableness that was after LaBute. Viewers struggle to know whether Jackson is really well or really the sense of the world's worst neighbor. The objects of their discontent is Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington, the interracial couple who move in next door. Jackson seems threatening words and their ability to flash a card to make a big nightmare for the two love birds. The Lakeview Terrace Thriller film starts seeming to test our beliefs and opinions on the race off, but then turns the shaft and ends up being almost as ridiculous as "The Wicker Man" ... I said ALMOST! The last 45 minutes, more or less just kept thinking to myself ... "Are you kidding me." The end certainly could have been much better managed because the few moments of brilliance throughout the film. On the police-out (pun intended). |
