| So many scripts do this today, some nice ideas and scenes planned and plotted how plausible events and contributed to the need to connect them. Sigh and almost learn to accept that in a type 24 if it is a pace fast enough. But occasionally there is a complete Showstopper ruins the suspension of disbelief. A moment like this does not pass 10 minutes into the Nick of Time Thriller movie where Depp spends a policeman and decided not to go in unarmed Walken standing beside him. Similar to a butterfly on the wheel in terms of the lazy factor contributed stupid plot. At any time these people could have informed the authorities and have a better chance to save their loved ones embark on their mission impossible lunatic * and * in the hope that their tormentors to live up to its part of the deal. In at least 24, ill always double cross these idiots ... Not worth even a penny of your time .. |
| I thought this was a very good film. A thriller, as a Hitchcockian innocent man becomes involved in a deadly plot. An intriguing plot that has me thinking what would the situation. Christopher Walken is, as usual, Johnny Depp was weird and believable. The rest of the cast was very competent. I'd advise renting. It is not a special effects extravaganza, but a very well written DivX Movie Nick of Time film. |
| Johnny Depp takes a break from his usual role of outcasts in this game a clean cut that will travel by train back to Los Angeles with her daughter after the root of her late ex-wife. Entering the season, 2 person show a police badge, take him in a van, and blackmail him into assassinating the governor in an hour or so going to kill his daughter. The rest of the DivX Movie Nick of Time takes place in a hotel where the atmosphere paranoid gives clues about how big is the conspiracy and the political motives behind it, with almost everyone keep their eyes on him and very little time, he faces with the difficult task to get out of this situation. You must see if you like the edge of your seat excitement and an excellent cast, with Depp (great as Gene Watson), Marsha Mason, Charles S. Dutton, and Christopher Walken, playing the most despicable evil, and Laurence Olivier in "Marathon Man." |
| This is one of the most suspenseful movie: Nick of Time you'll ever see, but only for good viewing. After you've seen, the impact is much more wasted viewings. That many critics panne was too outlandish for a story, and I agree. However, if you can put your brain on hold "for 90 minutes, you'll enjoy the movie. The only annoying part for me was the typical liberal bias here where political liberalism is the goal of a conservative zealot. Never show the reverse. At least the writers here are somewhat subtle. The characters as interesting as Johnny Depp usually plays, the two villains here are more fun to watch him. Christopher Walken and Roma Maffia are riveting as the murderers. Depp played a really normal person, which is not normal for him. The suspense was so good, I just could see part of it. That was the best part of the film. The worst may have been exaggerated as the cliché of the murderers hesitate before firing, and because, being shot themselves. That is so boring. Or, sometimes, thieves talk instead of shoot, and then fired. One critic Robert Ebert pet's largest Peeva and I agree with him. It is another reason why this DVD film Nick of Time got low grades in most of the critics. However, this "real time" the movie: Nick of Time (trying to get the viewer more involved), is guaranteed, if you've never seen, to give one and a half hours of entertainment. |
| A young accountant Gene Wilson (Johnny Deep) arrived at Union Station in LA with his daughter (Courtney Chase). The moment came two mysterious strangers (Oscar Winner: Christopher Walken and Roma Maffia) separate him from his daughter. Gene One of them suggested to assassinate a government official (Marsha Mason), or that the murder of his daughter. Directed by John Badham (the hard way, in short, monitoring) made an entertaining, intelligent, if hardly credible. the suspense-thriller that was filmed in "real time". Not always the punishment, especially the director uses a multitude of close-up of watches. Makes sometimes makes this claustrophobic DVD film Nick of Time but not enough. This was one of the great failures of critical and box office disappointments for 1995. But the picture is surprising that plays better on video and became a sort of cult following in later years. DVD is a fine Anamorphic Widescreen (1.78:1) transfer and a good Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. Only DVD extra is the theatrical trailer. What makes this game a bad Nick of Time film is watchable cast, sometimes dark sense of humor, fun and some good moments of real suspense. But sometimes, the Nick of Time Thriller falls apart almost from the moment unlikely false plot near the third act and an unsatisfying conclusion.
