| This is a very good film: Madigan - full of excellent performance and a very interesting story. Richard Widmark and Henry Fonda are wonderful, both the actors of the DivX film Madigan and their stories in parallel for most of the DivX Movie Madigan - with almost no interaction in the film. Harry Guardino, Inger Stevens, James Whitmore and some excellent support and the DVD film Madigan is very entertaining. In many ways it's like having a black Madigan Drama in 1960, although with somewhat less "rough" for dialogue and a lot of sensitivities late 60s (a little nudity and graphic language in the first took me by surprise). Now this does not mean that the Madigan Drama movie is unnecessarily free. I took a long time, first, listen to some of the insults that leave the mouth of some old-time players. In addition, and this film: Madigan does not get better for me, there was some soap opera elements thrown in, as it often does not work. Fonda widower having to sleep with a married woman who had children only seemed seedy and not all fit with the character he had created. He is proud of his decency and integrity, but this does not seem to have much sense. However, tension between Widmark and his wife, Stevens, did the job very well, as you could see how being a detective can be really hard on a marriage. However, this was a very good DivX Movie Madigan that seemed a bit like Dragnet, the TV soap opera and a POLICE STORY in one. Good things are worth seeing, although I hesitate to let younger children watch this DVD. |
| This is a very "late'60s" detective fiction, and if you are in the mood, hit the ground. What I, and has not been picked up by other posters, it is very visible difference between most of the scenes shot in real locations in the city of New York, and some scenes from the Universal Backlot straight on urban streets with no nonsense culverts. The study shot scenes (and school-Lalo Shifrin score) to increase the impression that you are watching a TV Madigan Drama film of the first class. Everything you do with a hunger for supper on a tray with aluminum. Definitely, entertainment, on an average. |
| Madigan is memorable for its final, climatic shooting. This is the closest to art films ever to reality unless someone really get close to real life and nasty shooting the film. Widmark and Guardino vs Steve Ihnat in about 4 seconds of absolute chaos, with tragic results. Incidentally, I saw this film: Madigan in an Army hospital in 1969 while recovering from being wounded in Vietnam. Is projected onto a sheet hung in the center of a neighborhood. The picture clearly showed through, so (and half the audience) viewed from the back of the blade, all left and right have been reversed! |
| I really like this DivX film Madigan comes from the late 1960s. This Madigan movie represents the characteristics of each one of these days. Played two excellent police portrayed by Richard Widmark and Harry Guardino make this Madigan film a good use of time, because we are living the adventure. Henry Fonda, who portrayed the closure commissioner in cold blood, speaking unable, because of their internal struggle on several fronts, he had to decide what to do with Kane and his friend what to do with his dorm mate sin . In my opinion, these concerns in his life are represented in an excellent manner, and with the battle of Madigan makes this DivX Movie Madigan very serious and advanced. In this Madigan film it was intended to make history Madigan, but the novel, where the Madigan movie is based on is called 'The Commissioner', which means around Russell.
