| Compared to most of the dreck I've seen on the Sci Fi Channel, this was not bad. He had offspring production values, acceptable performance, and generally in a rhythm. However, like many other reviewers have noted, is so ridiculously derivative that is sometimes hard to see. CHILDREN OF THE CORN is definitely an inspiration. Creepy city. Creepy cornfield. Single crazed fanatics. This is the point in which I did, however. Was stolen from 1963 to the letter of the vampire's kiss, but substitutes sacred ground crows CGI animation bats (and out the worse for it). It's always frustrating to see a Hallowed Ground film with potential, in particular, an independent film, not to take advantage of their assets. An original idea is all that is needed. |
| The movie: Hallowed Ground is not that outstanding honestly, but I give credit to the cast, Jaimie Alexander, Nick Chinlund, and Chloe Moretz, made the Hallowed Ground film bearable, Chloe are in such a young age did very well. About the Hallowed Ground movie itself, is nothing less mundane science fiction film.We have seen the Hallowed Ground Horror before, the crazed man back from the dead, continues to massacre. The only spin that this was a preacher, and was a little more than crazy when it comes to sacrifice "God" to remove crow that had infested their fields. Overall not a bad movie, but it could have been much better, especially the very incredible CGI crow. I give the Hallowed Ground film a 7 out of 10, and being very generous. |
| This Hallowed Ground movie is fairly predictable, there is nothing you will not be able to calculate fairly quickly. However, there are a couple of kills, and the flow of the DivX Movie Hallowed Ground is very fast. The story, gal is stranded in a strange city with a past life of a preacher using scarecrows to scare away crows real. He was subsequently killed by people in the neighboring city. Our Lady stranded learn from a reporter from a tabloid paper that was doing a story about the city. Somehow they become best buds essentially what is perhaps the value of an hour, something enjoyed this movie, but then is not without some flaws. It is a scarecrow, and lots of religious nuts and we have a good number of hunting scenes. The DivX film Hallowed Ground is not without its many flaws, but as this is a low cost directly to DVD. The opening has a team of animation scene of a horrific kind in a cornfield with crows and is horrible, I was expecting a much worse picture of the scene as a team generating hatred which is completely unnecessary. How difficult is to find a cornfield and put crosses on skeletons in it, I would not bet difficult. The scarecrow was pretty good angle then abandoned and forgotten near the end where we have a crow looking crappy attack. However, some time passes and he seemed a little entertainment. Just do not expect much. |
