| It's Ken Loach is the first movie: Bread and Roses made in America, could have demonstrated that risk for a director so closely associated with his native Britain, as Loach. Fortunately, it is a complete success, proving once and for all that Ken Loach's films are universal because of their attitudes to people rather than his politics. Loach is a shame is so associated with the policy that puts a public face that might otherwise enjoy his films. Bread and Roses is about a group of immigrants from South America protesting janitors in order to obtain the rights. It may not sound exciting but trust me, if you're willing to see the DivX Movie Bread and Roses on its own terms, which will give you much more than Battlefield Earth. The (mostly unknown) cast is uniformly excellent and it would be a real shame that went unnoticed when the little gold statues were handed out. The "star" name, Adrian Brodey, is excellent and justifies the fashion that has grown around him. By choosing to work on interesting projects with talented directors, has shown how most of the gap in the United States today. OK, that is likely to remain firmly lodged in the House of Art ghetto, and no one will see it. But if you're bored of the special effects, if you're tired of Hollywood cliches and if you see something ready for a change, look at that. |
| Honestly, this is one of the best movies I've ever seen. I've seen that because of the "political" history, not even if, as seems the case with some of the attendees. But anyway, when I left the theater, I saw only smiling faces. The beauty of Bread and Roses, ie half the sample of people who fight for a better life as part of their daily lives, and feel anger and sadness, and have fun along the way - a nice contrast to the intellectuals political films. And while the films of Ken Loachs in the past often are people in society, not without hope, but can not really change anything, this time it shows the people who eventually achieve something, recognize their power to act together and we are proud it - a real feel-good factor about the DVD movie Bread and Roses (probably in part because the script is based on real life events). However, it is not simple - it is not easy for anyone to participate in the fight (or not), mistakes are made, not everything can be achieved at once. And I think that is really hard: the creation of a DivX Movie Bread and Roses that makes us think and smile. What accounts for why there are so few around, and it is a shame that loads of people who do not have the opportunity to see it. |
| What is a joy to see this Bread and Roses Drama film in the city center Cineplex. An alternative to the fine nonsense that permeates the action Mush Hollywood today cinema.We need more films that challenge the power structure that controls exist in both our lives. The cinema can and should mobilize people to take us to oppress us, instead of passive recipients into uncomfortable high trash put out by the same oppressors. It does not take a sociologist to realize that this is the intention. I was deeply touched by the tribulations of these defenseless people working in bad jobs humiliating. I was totally amazed by the character of Rose during his emotional confrontation with his powerful sister.There there are many millions of people out there who slave in menial jobs. You should see this film, but most probably not out of reach anyway. Strictly for the cinema and art houses. I am sure there will be very few films like this in the near future. |
