| Quality Rating: 0 out of ***** (zero to five) after a mysterious communication fails, a group of astronauts returning from a mission to Mars back to Earth with a deadly alien virus, and an elite team led by a professional hunter and expert on foreign nationals hired to contain the virus. This continuation of the excellent Species (1995) is too boring and has no redeeming quality. The confusing script has no originality and director Peter Medak not develop a coherent story. The plot is so confusing, so ridiculous, it is left at the end is, "What ?...". Species 2 has no involvement and quick pace of the first movie. Medak bombards the audience with brutal, explicit scenes and unnecessary, does not offer any action scene worthy of note and this promise become a terrible B-movie script. |
| People who are saying that this DVD movie Species II is the worst sequel you've ever seen, obviously never saw "Hercules II" or "Jaws 3-D" or "Hellraiser II." Now, I will not say that this is a great film, but if you set your expectations low, it is likely to have fun. Despite the Icky (and variable in quality, but impressive in the last 10 minutes) the special effects and large quantities of blood and T & A, the film: Species II never becomes a real concern, because you never have to say 100% seriously. Michael Madsen understands that to be sure, and thanks to his trademark coolness, it departs from the image. As for Natasha Henstridge, has more or less a part of support, but rather one that is linked to the imagination of the central story line. In general, a Species II Thriller movie with artistic pretensions and no doubt many defects (someone has already said, why not exploit her head when she escaped from the laboratory?), But beware that in the right frame of mind and is very nice. | This was not a great film. I mean for example, even NASA (Never a) six months would not make a trip to Mars a way to spend less than two hours on the surface of the planet. The premise is difficult to buy, but hey, it's science fiction. The effects are not bad, and it's just acting. There are a lot of gratuitous sex. Michael Marsden may be the bright point in this half science-fiction film. I will not pay to see this in the theater, but in video .... There are probably more ways to spend an hour and forty-two minutes. |
| Yes, it's a crapper. Species that was adequate, but that is no sequel. Bad acting, tense and disjointed, and not for the purpose, except for the final several minutes, he and she mutate and make their stuff.
