Unjustly expelled from Harvard when a stash of cocaine is found in his possession, Matt (Elijah Wood) moves to London to live with his sister and her husband Steve (Marc Warren.) He is quickly introduced to Steve's chirpy, cock-sure younger brother Pete (Charlie Hunnam.) Initially, Pete is reluctant to get acquainted with Matt and allow him to tread around the capital city with him because he may be seen by others as an 'outsider', but after a heavy drinking session with him and his mates he quickly changes his opinion of him. On the way back from a football match, Matt is viciously accosted by a gang of Birmingham City thugs, until Pete and his friends step in and save him. It is from here that Matt learns the truth about Pete and his friends- they are football hooligans, operating the GSE (Green Street Elite) 'firm.' Initially afraid of the violence, Matt soon ends up becoming as desensitized to it as his new found friends- but as events roll on, suspicion, shocking revelations and unsettled scores combine to a devastating climax where London's most fierce football rivals- Millwall and West Ham United- are set to go head to head.

I never felt so excited after I made a Hooligans Drama film after seeing it. The story is not necessarily the largest, but it did not matter. It was not just the violence that made the Hooligans Drama film so good, the camera work and effects are spectacular, especially during the scenes of fighting. The Hooligans Drama raises his adrenaline as the players raise their own. And the final stay with you for a long time and probably leave in tears. The cast for this DVD movie Hooligans so special ... Elijah Wood as a hooligan is so unexpected, just like you who do not suspect they are to become a fighter. The cast is also filled with about anybody who works for the film. If it had been starring Vinnie Jones etc just does not work after all we're not talking Hollywood West Ham. I am an American .. big football fan .. and lived in London for a while. I was excited to see this movie, but left a little disappointed. He was strong and convincing .. and the performance was great .. especially Charlie Hunnam. The fight scenes, while clearly a concern, not bother me much. I also thought it was very interesting to learn about the organization of the companies, so I had no idea such a thing exists. I always thought of hooliganism as a group of drunken young idiots, who like to choose fights, etc. Boy was I wrong. However, one thing that troubled me was that .. Elijah Wood only character not fit in. tiny SOIL ALERT - A child who was afraid of his preppy weasel room at Harvard ... all of the sudden mixing with British Hooligans core, huh? I felt as if the story was accurate, Matt has been split the money right off the bat Pete .. and who have been in the closest Starbucks six minutes later. End of movie. I kept returning to my mind. In general, though, it certainly was a good DivX film Hooligans .. worth seeing.

As one of the privileged few who saw the world premiere at SXSW (including cardholders left), Hooligans is sure to be one of the most talked about movies of the year. Lexi Alexander, which, according to their answers in the Q & A premiere, grew up between the type of men represented in Hooligans. The choice of using an American as a central character was deliberate, to quickly enter the story and see the lifestyle of an outsider perspective. As a student unjustly expelled from Harvard, Matt (Elijah Wood) decides to stay with his sister in England, and is reluctantly befriended by his brother-brother Pete (Charlie Hunnam). Wood skillfully plays passive introverted ripe for seduction group of union violence Hunnam charismatically surly Pete, which is to football (aka soccer) and the 'business' that are known for their violence against rival amateur teams. Without glorifying violence, fully realized characters and pleasant to explore the ease with which anyone can enter into hooliganism. Instead of using broadly through Matt Alexander shows how even the most likely people trapped in the popular mentality and violence, through the ties of friendship and belonging. With a cutting edge soundtrack and strong performances, Hooligans left a lasting impression.
