Any film: Mouse That Roared, The fan recalls Peter Sellers playing three roles in the Cold War comedy "Dr. Strangelove." Well, "The Mouse that Roared" was a sort of prequel to that. A small setback in France's Mediterranean coast nation has no way to move forward economically. Thus, the queen and prime minister (played by both vendors) make a decision: the country will declare war on the United States, losing, and gather foreign aid. There is a small problem: when they come to New York, no one around - the threat of nuclear annihilation has taken all into hiding. The army decides that this requires drastic measures - with hilarious results. Some people might say: "If you saw a zany comedy, which has been to see them." Nevertheless, it has yet to see "TMTR. It's so funny. And a scene that is unlikely that any teenager to open the eyes of Peter Sellers is when entering the room of Jean Seberg and she is ... Well, I will not spoil for you, but I will say that it seems that was risqué for 1959. Classic. |
Yes, the "joke" is rather a truism: to declare war on the U.S., and then pick up the massive foreign aid losing always send ... Peter Sellers, enjoying its many features, along with a strong cast of actors. The "beautiful blonde" is Jean Seberg - which seems not to know what he is doing in this role, the comedy was not the strong point of the lady. However, there is something very smooth and charming that moves throughout this movie. I guess that something might well be that the "balance" to the small country was peace in the world ... Not a bad concept. Worth seeing. |
This comedy is rampant, ridiculous satire of the Cold War. Peter Sellers really shines in this comedy gem playing multiple characters - Prime Minister Montjoy Conde, the Constable of the militia Tully Bascomb, and His Royal Highness the Grand Duchess Gloriana! The plot makes fun of the dispute in international politics and the proliferation of nuclear weapons under a money-making by the smallest country in the world that goes horribly and laughably bad. This leaves no one unscathed satire - Russians, Americans, British, French and get all the blows Cinese. The action is too fast-paced without antics. Not exactly brain food, but will leave you snickering. |
If you like a good and funny movie, this is a must in your list to see. I have not seen this movie: Mouse That Roared, The for over 30 years, but I remember well. It's fun and nice to see. Try this Mouse That Roared, The movie for fun and not be sorry. |
