| If you enjoy a lot of blood, and then see "300." But if you want something closer to what it really tells us the story that happened at Thermopylae, then "The 300 Spartans" is what you want. I loved the fact that both sides had showed that at that time with respect to weapons and tactics of the operation. It also keeps the focus on the courage of the Spartans, and all of Greece not only wished them well, but might help, as with the Athenian fleet, not a CGI generated storm. This also marked by good acting by all, since Richard Egan as Leonidas and all the cast. This 300 Spartans, The movie is for those who yearn for the real story, though much of what occurred can be lost to the ages. |

| This 300 Spartans, The Adventure movie just came out on DVD, and it's something to get their hands on, no doubt. The Battle of Thermopylae is a great story of heroism, and captured here with great action and breath-taking battle scenes special fx. I have no doubt this 300 Spartans, The Adventure was remade, especially because it has been stolen without purpose (especially in recent times.) Let's start with the acting. Richard Egan and Ralph Richardson are on their own, great actors. The chemistry between the two is endearing and honest. Richardson plays the old, wise, while Temistocles Egan plays the strong, respectful lionhearted King Leonidas. Both are wonderful to see, and Egan, it's nice to see an actor who plays a role as a human rather than a caricature of Shakespeare. Is stoic, but entirely sympathetic. Wonderful. Geoff Unsworth Rudolph Mate and succeeded in capturing the scenery of an ancient land, but obviously not there to verify that is really what appeared to land. Come to think of it, not any of us! Therefore, to try to criticize the film: 300 Spartans, The in such detail that his vitriol as if your life is, quite honestly, laughable and pathetic.
