Normally I am not a big fan of vampire movies. However, this movie: 30 Days of Night is a new achievement in an old legend. The scenery is fantastic and what could be more afraid that the 30 days of endless night, when you are besieged by vampires. These are not your parents' vampires, or even nothing seductive Campy about these guys. They are what the vampire is supposed to have been originally .. SCARY! I think of all .. An adjustment of Arctic Alaska or frozen, isolated area is a great scene of horror and suspense. Movies such as Howard Hawks' The Thing from Another World "and its 1982 sequel" The Thing "to use the same configuration with admirable results. Even the understated Stephen King mini-series "Storm of the Century" uses the same cold, arid and isolated setting to create tension, despair and hopelessness. On average, if not slightly higher, and the mood and lighting are very good. All in all a DivX film 30 Days of Night that made you crave a little more when it ended .. and that is what we fight for every film. Although it could have been some improvements, and have provided a little more depth to the story (sort of thing just go to hell at once), a 30 Days of Night movie is definitely worth a couple of hours of their time.
