| I am surprised that I have a real affection for one in that I am not a lover of the action and adventure. But, hey ... It's pretty hard to go wrong with a DivX Movie Plunkett & Macleane by Robert Carlyle. I have read several comments temperate or poor in this film, pulling it apart from the mistakes of the period of development of the plot or unlikely, but nobody seems to mention the most intriguing character who tells how a hard transition, below -in-his-luck scoundrel (Carlyle) is transformed into a noble, selfless and how the very hero-boy, cowardly vagrant (Miller) develops a taste for the life of a road when the man " is the feeling of it. " Full of piles of bad boy humor, lavish scenes (including the use of "fireworks" by former apothacary Plunkett) and a musical score ecclectic charm, Plunkett and Macleane is a fast-paced and very enjoyable piece of cinema. It is certainly worth seeing his time CLIMAX SCENE FOR ONLY! Shoot 'em up, boys! |
| ... because while I enjoyed this movie, it seems other users' comments that I am in the minority. Maybe not by a philosopher (wk), there are some wonderful scenes here (- especially techno), life and the great adventure story originally portrayed. Go see for yourself! |
| I can tell from reading other reviews that I am in the small minority of people who loved this movie. I rented it several times to share with friends and family, and they are all in renfaires and the like, which seemed to enjoy it. Maybe not as much as I did, but not everyone is me. I found this to be a fun ride in a world that so often see the end of high society (Dangerous Liasons, etc.). But not too often the poor man's point of view. Robert Carlyle and Johnny Lee Miller are two of my favorite players, both from Trainspotting, and I think it will be for some time. If you enjoy English humor, I think you will enjoy this movie. |
| Normally hate period films. Living in England is a nightmare at the moment if you have an allergy to period dramas - which I do. However, this is the best. That is not taken seriously and Jonny Lee Miller and Robert Carlyle are great together, Liv Tyler is good and although his dodgy English accent! The movie: Plunkett & Macleane has everything for someone who just wants to go to the movies fun. It has action, adventure, drama and comedy. I'm not sure how well the jokes translate across the ocean, but hopefully so. It would be a disgrace to American audiences to miss this film. This DVD film Plunkett & Macleane shows that the English can produce something that does not involve constant swearing and sex. Both in terms of doing this, but in a balanced format. Iain Robertson, the camp of the picture is bright and knight and the two brothers who are also part of the upper class are established hilarious! As the trailer for 'The spy pure Me "is pupported ...." If you see a movie: Plunkett & Macleane this spring make other ".... Plunkett and Macleane. It is fun, action and, of course, lurve, Jonny Lee Miller, with an English accent for a change! |
