Not since "Halloween" or "The Fog", I enjoyed a DVD film Vampires by John Carpenter as much as I enjoyed "Vampires." Contains all the "Carpenteresque" qualities we have come to expect from the director. The tension, suspense, colorful characters and an excellent rating by Moody all in a mixture of rounded and slightly chilled. Since the opening incredibly exciting end to the tension hammered, Carpenter, you know to pull over at full speed and just stops for a breather along the way. The Vampires Thriller contains some of the most disturbing images of Carpenter's career, including a creepily, inspired by the scene Vampiros increasing their dusty graves, a vision that will cast a bright smile on any enthusiasts face Zombie, the Demonic Master Vampire, Valek beating through the air in the wild, finding rabid Vampire murderers. Of course it would be a John Carpenter movie, if it does not contain this panoramic images and movies photogenic, New Mexico desert places deliver some of the most beautifully shot scenes in a Carpenter film. Two thumbs up to the heavens of this instant classic Carpenter.
James Woods! Need I say more? Well, this is not the biggest ... but oozes cool. That vampires are not gothic romantic prissy types or idiots. They are vicious bastards who would make the vampires in Blade seems wuss. Good actions, the strong argument ... but it is nothing new. It's just good fun. It is my view that the elderly carpenter was tired and too cynical to make films that audiences and critics who find the works of masterpiece, eg Apocalyptic Three (Thing, Prince of darkness, the mouth of Madness). No, instead content to make movies that sarcastic satire major films. Ghosts of Mars is very similar to vampires in this way ... Carpenter tired, in his films at face value and laugh at how the average person mock the likes of the mainstream.
The line "Come on ... My father nuts are on fire here!" is a murderer. Even beyond the gum line 'live'. Woods is great in this. I am willing to bet that was fun with the role. Carpenter does what he does best and that is telling a story. This is a new slant on the vampire legend and Carpenter could only have done so well. Lots of swearing, lots of blood. The soundtrack is also good Carpenter. As entertainment, I have to say that this DVD film Vampires did for me!
I recently saw John Carpenter vampire DivX Movie Vampires and is another well done by a great director. Before I went, I did some research about how other people thought of the movie, but I wanted to make my own opinion. I'm glad I did as a vampire was a great ride for two hours. It had everything: action, suspense, scares, drama and lots of laughter. Carpenter always impressed me how can the hero or anti-hero to be in one mind and never straying from its purpose. Shows a reflection of the man himself tries to remain independent and tells the story you want to say, if the influence of inflexible Hollywood. The cast put out a great performance (yes, even that guy that Baldwin was not bad!) And I loved every minute of it. If you like Carpenter, movies and want to have some fun for a couple of hours, watch this movie! For all the criticism that you had some negative comments remember ... is only a movie. Did you expect to leave the theater with some sort of spiritual enlightenment? J
