| I saw this film: Testament 20 years ago and remains indelibly etched in my brain. But the reasons why it still resonates today for me is that this is not just a Testament Drama about "nuclear winter". This film: Testament presents all of us comfortable middle-class Americans credible scenario empathy for what all other countries must go through their lives and families are devastated by man's inhumanity to man. It is the pain that this upper-middle-class white mother is more tragic that the cries of a mother in Sudan or Iraq or any place where families are the victims? This Testament Drama film made her very real pain for me in my apartment for two sandwiches that taste like after a full dinner with my team and my stereo blaring. This is a DivX film Testament about despair and hopelessness. It is relentless and futile. The time at which Jane Alexander accidentally jar the answering machine for batteries at the same time, causing stabbing pains in my heart. Unfortunately, time is a story full of universal emotions. Is there a value that is being made to feel empathy with those whose children die slowly in his arms (either hunger or nuclear winter?). I think this Testament film changed me 20 years ago and have since tried to do what I can in my humble ways. |
| Most of the positive reviews listed here echo my opinion of this DivX Movie Testament (subtle, powerful, honest, sad), so I will not beat the dead horse and describe how this is a great movie. Just wanted to add that James Horner's score, one of his first, is quite brilliant and deserves an official release on CD. Listen to it and treat it as the basis for most of its future "dramatic" scores as "Titanic" and "Apollo 13". James Horner is one of the few composers who can mourn with his music alone, and I think it is because it reminds me of when you hear this movie. ***** SPOILER ***** The scene in which a young Japanese boy (a remarkable performance, considering that mental life is real and surprisingly never mentioned in any of these comments) is the lack of a toy bear possibly caused the most emotional response Me I have experienced while watching a movie. Testament, then, is definitely the saddest Testament Drama movie I have ever seen. I have never been more emotionally exhausted. They are ending up there with the "resurrection" as one of the most disturbing end I have ever seen. |
| This is one of those movies that is very draining to watch, but worth it. It is an approach a little more tame to matter, but very well done. Often compared to "Threads", many think it is too graphic. Nevertheless, I like both movies. I have to say that "Will" will be more realistic for the rural poor, who may simply die slowly as the characters in this film, do, instead of being subjected to the immediate effects of the attack. Rebecca De Mornay in the appearance in this film, which was only after seeing "In the early light of dawn," makes a connection between these two films. Everyone should see both films, at least once, too. Excellent performances by Rossie Harris Mako and make this Testament Drama movie stand out even more. After seeing "The Day After" now, I prefer "Testament", but find both excellent films. |
