| The story has Superman returning to Earth after a five-year stay in which has been exploring a piece of his planet Krypton which has been floating around the universe from destruction. (Exactly why it took five years to do this is not explained.) Not a great success, the casting is beaten and miss and there's nothing very innovative in the history and effects. In an era full of superhero movies, it is unlikely to have anything close to the effects of versión'79 with Christopher Reeve. But the DVD film Superman Returns is magnificently mounted, it moves like a bullet and speeding is so respectful of the traditions of Superman that even the pickiest of die-hard fans should love it. After a lapse of two decades, it revitalizes the franchise and makes it seem fresh and alive. |
| I love Bryan Singer. I love what he did with X-Men! But this movie? Phew. What a disappointment. That did nothing in terms of pursuit of the magic of the movies of Christopher Reeve. I mean ... I had the score in there and I like the fact that it was supposed to take place after the events of Superman 2. I think that just totally dropped the ball. That said, there are some scenes that are unbelievable (the plane rescue). Even Kevin Spacey, who is also general FAVE is not at par. His performance lacks menace .... Gene Hackman does not quite pull it off perfectly, but the nut was part of Luthor down pat. The Superman Returns Adventure film is visually entertaining. There is no chemistry between Lois and Clark / Superman ... the acting is poor ... Routh and simply does not have the charm that had Christopher Reeve. |
| We must say, I have seen this worrying about how I react, and to my dismay, it was founded. The music began at the beginning, it seemed a big smile on my face ... and all the memories came flooding back. Within the hour, I think that is this film? One thing that really bothered me throughout the Superman Returns film is how Clarke looks good, and the reason is that the poor special effects when CGi'd ... is unrealistic, and that made it look so easy as to keep you guessing ... Lois' performance is not too hot either, spacy and lost ... Lex and the history of this "land" generation is ridiculous to be honest ... and then the ending in the island near the end ... without any explanation is crazy. We must say at 2:25 is a bit long for what amounts to a very simple story. Spiderman and Batman is the only comic book hero who has worked, such a shame, and I hope it bothers donm't another! | This film: Superman Returns is a poor attempt to make money using a classic theme. I loved the Superman movies, but this made me want to shoot myself. Very bad acting, outrageous special effects and a plot to zero. To summarize: Superman leaves earth, scientists discovered that parts of their home planets, some were in space (duh), says nothing to his girlfriend before leaving (again duh), off in a spaceship arrives ( I think ?!?), again 5 years later, and we hope to connect again with his girlfriend (which is now sweeping through his son, who are, in my humble opinion is at least 7 years). And what about that Lex Luthor? Trying to grow a new continent to sell the land? Please! I vote 1 in 10 for this movie, just because I may not vote 0. If you have anything else to do with their time, they will not see this movie, even if you do not have anything else to do, stay home and watch TV! |
| This may contain SPOILERS wrong symbolism incredible shallow plot, flat performances (except for Kevin Spacey), misuse or ignorance of Superman Trivia, lack of time continuity (Louise Lane was in relation to another right after for a Superman good left, if not, then your pregnancy which should have lasted 18 months?), a portrait of bad character of Lex Luthor in the script. This is a brief summary of a lot of things that are wrong with this movie. Now, it is good. Great special effects, great special effects, and that's it. Save your car on that money, rent or buy this film. If your a fan Spuerman was greatly disappointed. |
