| I have every frame of this beautiful film. These are normal people, people we all know, suffered a little in his life and some have to carry your luggage. Like all of us. Robert DeNiro, Ed Harris and Kathy Baker breathe life into her portraits are excellent, but Harris is particularly painful, and therefore very real. I swear he really is a truck driver who takes it will not have to feel anything. Baker-making as his sister also has some delicate moments - when DeNiro gives flowers in a scene, it seems that he had never been given flowers before and probably was not. Very useful. |
| A good selection of video from a movie, especially if you have not seen before ... if you can not find a version you want to see. Robert De Niro, Kathy Baker, Ed Harris and delivery aspect of a well rounded healing. Kathy Baker was great as a supporting role. I missed Vietnam by a year, my draft number was high enough in the year they begin the serious climbing. This is not a "Platoon" or "Full Metal Jacket." This movie: Jacknife is about a couple of veterinarians in the years' later. Takes place in the States after the war is over. Very few were flashbacks, but they were necessary to bring context to the film. Ed Harris plays a person who is in more pain, and is always on the verge of hurting others, because of it. Kathy Baker plays his sister. Robert De Niro was perfect for the part he has played, and who enters their lives. It is not a DVD movie Jacknife or screenplay, but the players pulled out. I think that Ed Harris was nominated for an award for their efforts (not Oscar, other). You do not have to have been to Viet Nam to attend this movie. Although this is the aftermath of the Vietnam experience, it can also be autonomous. About how we have opposites within ourselves and how the best parts of ourselves, although they may be injured trying to reach and save the darkest most part we have. Movie that describes what I just wrote and I could not avoid the tears, myself, towards the end of the film. If you just stay with it, you can know or appreciate what I mean. |

"Jacknife" is a beautifully acted, brilliantly observed piece of work, with the actors at the top of his game, especially Ed Harris and Robert DeNiro together (please do not mention Marlon Brando in the same breath of the man-see " Taxi driver "for the confirmation of this point.) Is it a "worldly" movie, and not have sex / direction / action nudity in it. This DivX Movie Jacknife is about the complexities of the characters involved. Ed Harris makes you feel every moment with him and his emotional outburst towards the end is heartbreaking. The part where he orders a couple in a bar to take his army out of clothing is a wonderful observation of how the fashion and movie: Jacknife take tragic situations and how frustrated they must feel real men to see a young upstart sporting military garb . While we're on this subject, "Casino" 7.8 out of 10? One of the greatest films of all time, one of the greatest directors, DVD movie Jacknife starring the greatest actor of all time, with the most frightening psychotic gangster Jacknife movie ever, justified only just above average? Come On !!!!! |
| Jacknife is a masterpiece of the 80s. It is a Jacknife Drama that breathes through an incredible action and contact address very interesting. Jacknife while lovers of European cinema and American can find things that relate. The script is very convincing and full of wonderful characters. Ed Harris is giving one of the biggest shows to date. He describes his hero alcoholic feel great doing your broken heart in every line, every move. Robert De Niro once again makes us think of him as one of the greatest actors of all time in one of the simplest but also most realistic action in his career. Jacknife is never boring, and their heroes to get any clear indication of typical Hollywood character elements. After the war is not a hero. Everyone is a loser, and this Jacknife movie is about that simple truth. No one can repair their pieces after a war, like the heroes of this film. Jacknife is on diseases of the soul that war causes. Simply magnificent film. |
| I saw on cable in the early 90s and loved it. Never saw him again until he appeared on the wire again recently. Find a great movie: Jacknife in Vietnam. Not sure why its not rated higher. I found everything about this Jacknife Drama compelling. As a vet (not from Vietnam) that may relate to the situations presented by both Harris and De Niro. I can only imagine that this Jacknife Drama is more poignant now with our situation in Iraq. I wish that to be offered by the cable more often so people can see. The human cost of our soldiers will not remain on the battlefield. That brought it home for the rest of my life there. And this DivX film Jacknife is one of many to take home in a very difficult path. Excellent movie. |
