In the near future, the worst ghettos of Paris, France are literally walled off and among the worst is District B13. Controlled by the ruthless crime lord, Taha, a young righteous punk named Leito is determined to bring him down. When the boss retaliates by kidnapping his sister, Lola, a rescue attempt by Leito is destroyed by betrayal that gets him arrested and Lola kept in the clutches in Taha. Six months later, a crackerjack undercover cop named Damien is given a urgent mission: a neutron bomb has been stolen by Taha in District B13 which has an automatic timer function engaged and set to detonate in less than 24 hours. Now with time running out, Damien and Leito must work together to find and stop the bomb, but there is far more to this crisis than any of the field players realize.

If a cross from John Carpenter Snake Plissken DivX Movie District 13 with one of the Hong Kong shoot-em ups by John Woo and added a boat load of Jackie Chan-style stunts and bone calculation of martial arts, then you could be able to imagine the incredible series of action-parts that are welded to a super-cool futuristic dystopian setting in District 13. Anyone who likes Sci Fi actioners should see. Within the first 3 minutes I was completely pulled in by the pumping techno soundtrack and the super-stylish camera roam the streets gradient. District 13 is one of the best action movies I've seen in the past 25 years. Check it out.

In the usual big-budget American action DivX Movie District 13 these days, there will be in addition to the action, a love story and a bad guy redemption. None of this shit here, this DivX film District 13 is much closer to "Escape from New York" (I would even say it's a little kind of a remake) than usual for a successful action. There is a lot of morals, but some kind of political message about the French suburbs. In any case the action is great, the acting is surprisingly good (although I am sure the young Dany Verissimo - the girl - not very well used). And? Worth seeing. Violent games such as school children, not ugly (no torture, no blood), not "adult" (Dany Verissimo but becomes a famous actress in adult films), but not too great, either: while watching You are, you believe that all the action and plot.
