| When Fiona's father and King of Far Far Away steps away, the clumsy Shrek becomes the immediate successor to the throne. However, Shrek decides to find the legitimate heir Artie in a distant kingdom with his friends Donkey and Puss in Boots to return to his beloved house in the marsh with pregnant Fiona. Meanwhile, the envious and ambitious Prince Charming joins the villains of fairy tales plotting a coup d'état to become the new king. "Shrek the Third" is very funny, with a great message at the end and completely underrated in IMDb. There are many unfair comments and do not really understand what these users have not seen them like this movie. There are many new characters in fairy tales, but they all have room along the plot, at least in one scene, and I liked, for example, the Cyclops with his beautiful daughter, or the lines of Captain Hook, for mention two of them. I saw a dubbed version in Portuguese and the dialogues are excellent. The soundtrack is a plus and I loved "Song of immigrants" and "Baraccuda" in the attack of the heroines. My vote is eight. | One of the worst movies I've seen, Shrek the Third is a tragic example of greed and a plague to the series. Despite the label as a comedy, Shrek the Third hardly be fun in any respect. True laughs so far between them seems to be the product of blind luck rather than talent in writing. Almost every scene and every plot is completely predictable and tired. This DVD film Shrek the Third spouts off cliché characters and scenes in a ceaseless flow, and almost no originality. The script feels like it was written by copying large portions of other films and add a few gags sad and pathetic attempt at slapstick humor. Visually, the DivX film Shrek the Third is most of the best looking of the three, with some very detailed scenes and characters and the occasional (seemingly random) photo-realistic object. However, the animators apparently forgot how to make fire, and in this Shrek the Third movie entirely computer generated, the heat generated by computer post-production seems pathetically, completely out of place. Overall, this Shrek the Third Animation film is painful to see, with horrible clichés and predictable gags that grate on the viewer. You are better to see one of the first two movies again. Only the credits of Shrek the Third is worth seeing, fun and very creative and outshining the Shrek the Third film itself. |
| In all honesty Shrek is a movie: Shrek the Third for children, so they can love, but the Shrek the Third Animation movie is a bomb on anyone over the age of fifteen. Personally, the movie: Shrek the Third does not live up to the previous two. There is no conflict at all and the music was lame. Moreover, the few funny moments seem to surround the smaller characters, ginger bread man, Pinochio. Heck, even the kids shrek funnir their parents. Even kids are fun and not to mention donkeys. If you need anything else from Shrek, the Donkey, Puss in Boots are not funny in this film. If you do not have a child, will not see this movie. Not worth the ten bucks. Someone ran out of funny clips on you tube. |
| Call this third exit Shreck disappointing that the band is giving all the best of it. The characters lack the freshness and pizazz of the first two. The voice characterizations are ho-hum. And the needs of all human beings looking computer-generated figures? How about a little imagination here? Having become a father Shreck was a tired ploy used to juice up the fading sitcoms. The cute baby ogres fall in early Disney. And what happened to Cat in Boots and Donkey? These two rollicking sidekicks are reduced to bit players pratfalling. Worse yet, for much of the Shrek the Third movie personalities are switched magically. This could have been fun for a little fast, but is aging fast. A clue to S-III, the problems can be found on the long list of writers, few, if any, of whom participated in the first two. Worst of all ... but it is not funny. |
